Suzy Kolber (born Suzanne Lisa Kolber) was born in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, on May 14, 1964. Her parents are Jewish. Her age at present is at 58. Sandra Kolber was her mother, and Gene Kolber was her father. She is a graduate of Upper Dublin High School in Pennsylvania as well as Sandy Run Middle School. In 1986, she received the degree of Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in telecommunications at the University of Miami. While a student at the college she was offered a position in Dynamic cable in Coral Gables Florida as a Sports Director. She was also employed at Dynamic Cable for a period of two years between 1984 and 1986. The time was when she was also a part of the water ski team of University of Miami. University of Miami. Plaza started her career in Wilmington performing in local theater, performing in improv as well as conducting productions. When she graduated from her high school in the year 2000, she relocated in New York City. There she studied improv classes as well as film making at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. In 2006, after an accident at the age of 20 that left her with temporary expressive aphasia.
