Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler 28 June 1986. Pickler had a difficult childhood. The mother she had left when she was only two in order to get out of the abuse of her partner. Pickler was brought back to the mother she had left in 1995 when she took over custody. However, things didn't work around as planned. At the age of 12, Pickler reached the age of 12, the court returned her to her maternal grandparents who brought her up to adulthood. Pickler, in the absence her parents and her older siblings, was too busy to become a mom. She revealed that she no longer had time to read and began learning how to make a living as a homemaker at a young age. Pickler was an athlete in middle school and her high school.
