Anna Kendrick, an American actress nominated for an Academy Award, is best known as a leading role in Twilight. She was born in Portland, Maine, she began her acting career as a child as a part of High Society, a popular Broadway musical. A Little Night Music was a Stephen Sondheim's musical. Then she ventured into film and made a name for herself as a actor in the film industry following her performance in the role of best friend to the main character of Twilight. The Twilight Saga New Moon featured her reprising the role. She also has appeared a few times on television on shows such as Fear Itself and Comedy Bang! Bang! A singer too, Anna Kendrick sang a cover of the song Cups as the soundtrack for the film Pitch Perfect, appearing in the music video too. The track reached no. 6 in US Billboard 100.
